This small native plant has many uses. indigenous people collect and eat the fruit when it is yello. It is also eaten when it is dried.
The prickly wattle produces edible seed. Traditionally, Indigenous people ground the seed into a flour which was used to make damper.

This large shrub produces oval shaped fruit that are yellow when ripe. It contains small seeds surrounded by a sweet yellow flesh.
